The Visitor’s Center is open
Wednesday-Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The grounds are open Wednesday-Sunday
from 8 a.m. to sunset. The grounds and building are closed on Monday and
Tuesday.
For-Mar is 383
acres, with 7 miles of hiking trails. Jogging and biking are permitted
on the gravel service drive only. Pets are not allowed. Cross country
skiing is permitted when there is 3” of snow and the ground is frozen;
trails are not groomed. For-Mar is not a picnicking facility.

Check out the new
walking
trail map for For-Mar. The map features a designated walking area with distances marked for your convenience.
The Foote Bird Museum is open every Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. -4 p.m.
There is a barrier-free, paved trail located next to the museum. There
is no admission charge for the Museum, grounds, or Visitor Center.
Programs can be tailored for any kind of group, including
scouts, schools, senior citizens, special needs audiences, churches,
preschools, home schools, etc. Staff can also provide programs off-site.

Photography Guidelines
Stay on the trails and garden paths to protect the sensitive plant life.
Stay off the fencing; it is for aesthetic purposes.
Appropriate attire must be worn at all times.
Nature Preserve
Field trips are $1.50 per person. In-school programs are $1.50 per
student and require a $50.00 minimum, plus mileage. There is a
non-refundable cancellation fee of $10.00. Payment is due the day of the
program.
Public Programs start at $3.00 per person; fees vary for workshops and
specialty programs.

Arboretum
Programs usually range from $5-$10 per
person and pre-registration is required. For program reservations, call

Gardens/Grounds Facility Fee:
Weekday Price $125; $125 security deposit required (including weddings)
Weekend Price $200; $200 security deposit required (including weddings)
Visitor Center Auditorium Fee: $100
not-for-profit organization; $100 deposit required
$150 for-profit organization; $150 deposit required
Refund Policy for Programs Requiring
Pre-Registration and Facility Rentals:
50% refund 72 hours prior to the event. No refund after 72 hours.
Rentals are only available during regular business hours,
Wednesday-Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Weddings can be booked Wednesday-Sunday and can be held from 8am-sunset.

Naturalist Field Studies Programs
For-Mar offers naturalist programs, guided nature hikes
and in-school programs, $1.50 per person. For-Mar also offers other
public programs that vary in cost and skill level; click the above tab
“For-Mar Events” for upcoming events and activities. The in-school
programs require a $50 minimum, plus mileage and a non-refundable
cancellation fee of $10.00.
