Check out the new walking trail map for Davison Roadside Park. The map features a designated walking area with distances marked for your convenience.

  • Beginner’s Sledding Hill. Facilities open when the terrain is frozen and there is a 3" accumulation of snow.  Please remember that snow accumulation on the ground is not an indicator of frozen terrain.  For dates and times facilities will be open for these activities, please call 810.736.7100

Alcohol Policy for All Parks
No alcohol or illegal substances allowed. Park rangers will issue tickets with fines of up to $100 for all violations.

Odor Eaters® Rotten Sneaker Contest

Celebrating its 34th year, the National Odor Eaters® Rotten Sneaker Contest is the ultimate test of just how offensive sneakers can get when they’re not taken care of properly.  Sneakers are judged on the conditions of the sole, tongue, heel, toe, laces or Velcro, eyelets/grommets, overall condition, and most important, ODOR!  To enter the regional contest and win a chance to go to the Nationals, children must be between the ages of 5 and 15 years and they must wear their naturally worn and torn sneakers.  The winner will receive $200 in cash, the golden sneaker award, a certificate and a basket of Odor Eaters®  products, plus the winner and one parent will be flown all expenses paid to Montpelier, VT to compete for the National Title.  Registration:  6 p.m.  Contest begins promptly at 7pm.  Cost: FREE!  Pre-registration not required.  Limited to the first 35 kids ages 5-15 yrs.

Soles4Souls Shoe Drive

Soles4Souls has a simple concept; they get shoes and give them away.  In conjunction with the Odor Eaters® Rotten Sneaker Contest, we’re hosting a shoe drive to help their mission.  It’s easy, just bring us the 'gently worn' shoes that are taking up space in your closet, bind each pair together with rubber bands and drop them off, along with $2 per pair to offset the cost of shipping.  We’ll take care of the rest!  For families, all ages.  Time: 6-8pm.  Pre-registration not required.
