Volunteering at Genesee County Parks
Genesee
County Parks is looking for you!!!
Whether it is volunteering at Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad,
creating gift bags for an upcoming event at the Parks Administration
Office or working on the many beautiful flowerbeds throughout our county
parks, there are a variety of volunteer opportunities waiting for you!
If you’re a history buff you might consider volunteering at Crossroads
Village & Huckleberry Railroad where visitors step back in time and
experience life in a rural Genesee County Village as it really was in
the 1800s.
Have a “Green Thumb” or just like working outside? We have many
opportunities available throughout our county parks. A For-Mar volunteer
might assist a group of school children as they take a nature walk...or
see a rabbit for the very first time!
If you love children we have several unique and fun volunteer
opportunities for you! Come join us when Thomas the Train rolls into
Crossroads village or join us for gentle frights in October when we
celebrate Halloween with our annual Ghosts & Goodies program where even
adults can become kids again and trick or treat!
If your school, club or business has a volunteer hour requirement, or if
your family and friends just like getting out and doing things together,
there is no place like the Genesee County Parks . Not only does our
Adopt-A-Park program help make our park system more inviting to our
guests; at the end of the day; you can take pride in a job well done!
Every year, hundreds of people step up and give their time and talent to
the Parks. It is a great feeling to know you are not only contributing
to the health and welfare of our community, but as a member of the
Genesee County Parks volunteer team, you have joined an organization
that has established an outstanding reputation for customer service.
Make a difference in your life and the lives of thousands! Volunteer
today!
